Our Foldable Acrylic I.O.L.
Curamed Ophthalmics now offers a superior, advanced polymer, hydrophilic acrylic lens, which will change the way you view your current foldable intra-ocular lenses. This new material offers gentle insertion performance, improved bio-compatibility, a lower acrylate level, and is Yag laser compatible.
Foldable
Because of their high refractive index and superior flexibility, our acrylic lenses may be implanted through a 3.2mm incision even at higher diopter powers.
Hydrophilicity
The hydrophilicity and intrinsic memory of the material guarantee regular unfolding, perfect centration and total stability in the capsular bag. Having the same hydrophilic nature as the eye, this new material has an excellent bio-compatibility.
One piece structure
The one-piece structure allows it to maintain its homogeneous geometry and gives it excellent resistance to forces exerted during surgery. The haptics are extremely supple and their profile allows passage without difficulty through the incision into the capsular bag.
The folding
Our acrylic lens was conceived with the aim of providing the best qualities of softness and pliability. It's optic is folded following the 5 - 11 o'clock axis.
